The levels are boring as fuck, the gameplay is not revolutionary, it’s a blue orb following a wave with a sideways camera trigger, nothing cool, these levels are effortless in gameplay AND they steal assets (without permission) they shouldn’t get rated

The thing I hate about those dancing line levels is that they dont even sync with the music AT ALL. I tried playing and it just felt so underwhelming

what infuriates me more is how nobody even knows the origins of these line levels. they are VERY clearly inspired by the now deleted mobile game; dancing line. similar to these line levels, though predating them, is a game where you have to tap the screen for a long line to switch direction. I am disappointed that nobody knows about this yet since that deleted mobile game has been my childhood

in my personal opinion there shouldn't be any copy/pasting from other people's levels at all in rated levels. this is different to having inspired deco or a level remake. you can still pay tribute to other levels without copy/pasting from it.

My only problem about the Line levels is the fact that some of the clicks are so awkwardly placed (especially the parts where sync is the most satisfactory there would be no click there).

my line is that it has to be either A: a small reference or a joke, B: given permission by the level creator If the creator asks you to remove it, no matter what, you must remove it.

I can’t really agree with the “you’re just being risky” part. My biggest issue is that the creator: - has gone into the original level - selected an asset - added it as a custom object - pasted it into their own level This is pure laziness and without creator permission should IMMEDIATELY warrant an unrate. Until the creator of the asset responds, the level should be treated as a stolen product regardless of how much extra work went into it on top of that. It doesn’t matter if it “pays respect to the original” or credits it. It’s still stolen without permission which I would hope we can agree is a bad thing. I don’t have a fundamental issue with the line levels, creator point farms have existed and will continue to exist for a very long time due to people finding successful formulas that rob approves of, but I think that no matter how small, ANY asset stealing should never be condoned unless permission is obtained. This goes for the line levels, congregation jumpscares, even the nine circles trend should not have happened without Zobros’ permission. It is not hard to simply recreate an asset rather than copying it directly, and contrary to how you stated it in your video, that is a VERY easy line to draw and judge by. It is extremely easy to see if an object has been copied directly or altered from the original in some way to differentiate. If it’s the latter then fine, if it’s the former then the level should not be rated and/or taken down until the creator of the asset speaks on it.
